The Namibia national football team, nicknamed the Brave Warriors, is the national association football team of Namibia and is controlled by the Namibia Football Association. They have never qualified for the World Cup but have made two appearances in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Independence Stadium in Windhoek is the national stadium of the Republic of Namibia. It holds 25,000 spectators and is mainly used for football events.
It has not been – as widely reported – renamed to Sam Nujoma Stadium. This is a new, much smaller stadium, also located in Windhoek.
